This roundup was supposed to drop New Years Eve but a surprise spate of internet loss has it coming out today. Thanks web gods! Anyway, let’s wrap up 2009 with this batch of sweet, sweet remixes. And look out for TBE’s Best Remixes of ’09 list, coming soon!

♫ Riton & Primary 1 – Radiates (Riton Rerub) / Hells yes. It was this “rerub” by Riton himself that initially caught my ear for this jam and I have been rocking this business all through the holidays.

♫ Chester French – C’mon (Pance Party Remix) / I feel kinda bad for my boy Alan Wilkis because he is the one that gave me the heads up on the free “C’mon” remix single. His remix is fresh but this Pance Party jam is straight up my alley and posted up at the end popping fresh dance moves. So dirty!

♫ Hockey – Too Fake (RAC Mix) / If you know RAC then you know to be stoked on this one, especially since it’s only 1/4 of his RAC Vol 1.5 which also includes remixes of U2 and The Gossip. And in true RAC fashion, its free, baby. Oh, and can we get some more love for Hockey? Such a good band.

♫ Miike Snow – Animal (Mark Ronson Remix/Cover) / Call it a remix, call it a cover, just don’t call it lame, cause this full version of Mark Ronson’s take on “Animal” is the perfect blend of reggae and zoo sounds that I have heard all year. And it makes a pretty good soundtrack for… oh nevermind.

♫ Miami Horror – Make You Mine (Codebreaker Remix) / Not much new here but why mess with success when you are dealing with one of the smoothest dancefloor/bedroom fillers of the year?

♫ Penguin Prison – A Funny Thing (Monarchy Remix) / Another groovy Penguin Prison remix for your (insert activity here) pleasure. I keep spelling ‘penguin’ with a ‘q’ (i.e. Penquin) but it feels so right somehow. Weird. I want more stuff from Monarchy.

♫ Wiley – Never Be Your Woman (feat. Emeli Sandé) (Solo (UK) “Loves Garage” Remix) / Holy crap, that is a lot of parentheses in one track title. Buy hey, if that’s what it takes to make this snooze-fest of an original into a sweet-ass night-time bumper then I’m down.

♫ Golden Silvers – Arrows of Eros (The Shoes Remix) / Tough to improve on the purity of the original but The Shoes slap it around with some dirty hands for a grimy dance-floor jam.

♫ Naive New Beaters – Get Love (The Shoes remix) / OK, so I am realizing that The Shoes are not my favorite remixers. Sorry about that. You now have full permission to slap me around with some dirty hands.

♫ Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrel – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (Mikey Mic Remix) / Call blasphemy if you want but this is a pretty tasteful and straightforward dancefloor friendly remix of a classic jam. Slip it in your DJ set for some good times.

♫ The Hood Internet – In Search Of Getting U Home (Shwayze vs Miike Snow) / I would like to call Shwayze a one-man mediocrity machine but I know that he works with that middle aged white guy so that would be unfair. Miike Snow, however, have crafted such solid music on “In Search Of” that it could pretty much back up anything.

♫ The Pixies – Where Is My Mind (Bassnectar Remix) / Don’t confuse Bassnectar with Basshunter because that would unfortunate. And don’t confuse this remix with The Pixies’ original because that too would be unfortunate. However all these things have their place in the world so just chill.
