You might remember the jam from Drummer that I covered a few months back. Well now Patrick Carney is back with his main band, The Black Keys. They are usually a bit too bluesey for me but every once and a while I get into a jam of theirs. It happened with “Strange Times” below, off of 2008′s Attack And Release and it’s happening now with “Tighten Up” off of the upcoming LP, Brothers. I love that whistling into and then the offbeat drumming under that great guitar work. Then at 2:35 they get to some straight jamming that I can’t help but get in the groove with. This soulful and gritty stuff. This is music for feeling like a man.
