- Who: Damian Ardestani
- What: Heart-on-sleeve bedroom pop, like Bon Iver, The Weeknd, Peter & Kerry
- Where: Los Angeles/Stockholm + Facebook
- When: The free Clowns EP is out now.
- Why: Minimal production with maximum impact. All 4 songs on the Clowns EP are heavy with the weight of the raw emotion embedded in Ardestani’s voice. “Angels Calling,” however, is the slowest and deepest of the tunes. No surprise it’s his favorite. I’m just not sure it is mine. “Crashing Stars” and “Evil Eye” both give it a run for its money. But then again there is this brilliantly simple placeholder video… Decisions!
