Remix Party Playlist Vol. 66 – 6.20.2012 [Meiko, Bibio, DWNTWN, Tina Turner, and more…]

As some of you know I’ve been working on several other projects.  Mainly, Lights & Music Entertainment; a Music Blog / Concert & Event Production Series.   Does this mean I’m done with TBE?  Nope, but most of my time will be spent building content for my own blog.  Don’t worry, my Remix & Dubstep Roundups are alive and well over there.  In fact, they are about to be better than ever.

A continuation of my feature at The Burning Ear, Remix Roundups are a collection of the freshest remixes on the planet.  You can search high and low, in this world or another, but you won’t find a remix series this dope in this galaxy or the next –  For we are from only space.

Passion Pit – Take A Walk (Peking Duk Remix) / When it drops,… oohhh soo good.  Its head bobbing, its intoxicating and if you let it- completely mind numbing.  Pimp it.

David Guetta – Titanium (Mistereric Mix) / Imagine, a world of lightly crashing waves, sunny weather and gorgeous women rolling skating to the rhythm.  Thats what this song means to me.  Its got mad vibes.  Jump in.

Brandon’s TBE Digest 23 – [6.2.2011] New Jams, Remixes, Mashups & Covers!

Boy, this one was a long time coming. Either you are all quite patient or you didn’t notice. Either way I have been busy as heck which just means that all the tracks I had compiled got whittled down to just the gems. Rock.

Mashups…. WHAT!

What up my TBE people?

Alright peeps, I hope you bring your party headphones to work, because Im trying a new feature out.  What kind of feature you may ask?  We’re talking mashups.  So, enjoy, but don’t get caught having too good of a time.  After all, you’re supposed to be working.

Party on, Garth!

Alex Winston - Sister Wife

[MP3] ALEX WINSTON is a fly chick i’d be stoked to have as a SISTER or a WIFE but definitely not as both

i’m telling you, one wrong move and we’re through

Alex Winston – Sister Wife

My favorite Detroit-based barely-of-legal-drinking-age multi-instrumentalist, Alex Winston, is back with a teaser jam from her Feb 7th mini-album of the same name. Taking an (i’m assuming) tongue-in-cheek take on polygamy, Winston casts herself as a first wife who has to suddenly share her man with a woman who so clearly doesn’t deserve his affections. And just in time for the new/last season of Big Love! If Winston keeps things this loose and fun while maintaining such top-notch production then 2011 should be a big year for her. At least something to console on her nights off.

Brandon’s TBE Digest 15 – 11.10.2010 [Kanye West, Cold War Kids, Two Door Cinema Club, The Drums, Twin Shadow, Mark Ronson, etc]

Loosen those belts because this Digest is quite the spread and you’re gonna need some breathing room to get through all 18 of these morsels. Bear with me because, save for the last two, this is all great stuff and there are a few “Best ___ of 2010” shoe-ins lurking below. Once again, the jams are broken into “courses” for your convenience. Enjoy!

NEW ORIGINAL FRESHNESS

Kanye West – All of the Lights (Ft. John Legend, The-Dream, Ryan Leslie, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Kid Cudi, Rihanna, & Elton John) – Besides all the gems at in Kanye’s GOOD Fridays free mp3 program, this guest-crazy jam from the forthcoming My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy also dropped recently. It’s a memorable moment from the “Runaway” film and sure to be a centerpiece of the album.

Trophy Wife – Microlite (acoustic) / Trophy Wife’s latest single “Microlite” may be even better than “Take This Night” and it definitely has a Read more

Joel & Scotts Remix Roundup Vol. 30 – 10.29.2010 [Lady Gaga, Clock Opera, Vampire Weekend, Zowie, La Roux and more]

Look people, its Halloween weekend which means shits going to get a little bit bonkers (at least here in the US).  We, Joel & Scott happen to be rather large fans of the ridiculous.  So, since we are so thrilled about this special weekend we wanted to set you off in epic fashion.

Here’s a massive cup of RR Vol.30 in your eardrums to start your weekend.

Yeah, that’s right…  We have a ridonculous logjam of tunes to throw at you.  Looks like our goal of just 12 songs is out the window, as we will have to bump it up to 20 for a while to get rid of some of this mass.  You’re welcome.

Lastly, don’t forget to break some dance floor hearts this weekend.

And oh yeah,….  Get Nurdy’

♫ The Dance Party- Sasha Don’t Sleep (Dillon Francis Remix) / Brandon posted another rad mix of this song too, not to mention the original track back in 09.  We’ve really taken a liking to this Sasha girl, and we’re pretty sure  that this Dillon Francis remix will keep her dancing.

♫ Lady Gaga- Monster (Computer Blue Remix) / Ummm yes.  Computer Blue, the duo from OK city have graced all of our eardrums with a BANGER.  This one is special.

Alex Winston

[MP3] ALEX WINSTON dated an ANIMAL and used to call him BABY

so you wanna play pretend, but my best friends don’t bring out their claws

Alex Winston – Animal Baby

Alex Winston already won me over with her great covers EP and now this original jam is just cementing the multi-instrumentalist’s talent. The 22 year old Detroit native just dropped her Knocks produced “Choice Notes” single which features two songs that are not “Animal Baby” so you can pick that up after getting into this soulful and groovy kiss off to an ex-lover. Gotta love those “ooooh ooooh”s!
