“Do a Breakdown” will make you want to dance like a crazy person. By which I don’t mean “You’ll really want to dance” (although you will) – I mean that when you inevitably dance, you will be dancing like you’ve lost your mind, like you’re in full David Byrne-style mania, like you’re a fabled whirling dervish or one of Dionysus’s maenads of Greek legend. In the context of a disco song, this is an excellent achievement.
