Remix Roundup! ∞ Vol. 1

Yo, for real, it’s the weekend and its time to shake your moneymaker (not implying y’all are strippers or whatever). I stumble across a ton of awesome remixes as I surf this information ether-highway of ours. I don’t like giving them dedicated posts cause 1) not everyone is super into remixes and 2) I don’t want to dilute the attention that should be given to new artists. You feel me? I knew you would. So anyway, I am starting another new feature at TBE where I round up some of the sweetest remixes of late and toss ’em at you without any of the usual garnish you find in a normal post. Who knows how often I’ll do it but they wont all be this big, I just had a lot of goodies to share. Anyway, listen, love, download, dance! Just do it after the jump.

Totally Michael – Winona (Miami Horror remix)

Loved the original? You’ll be down with this less spastic, more 80s synth version.

Snob Scrilla – Heartbreak Scorsese (’96 Bulls remix)

Snob Scrilla is one of our Heads Up ’09 artists and I can’t wait for more from him. In the meantime this crazy banger of a remix will do juuuuust fine.

Matt & Kim – Daylight (Yukon Ho remix)

You may have caught the video for their latest single “Lessons Learned” in the TBE TV box. This remix of Grand‘s first single has less nudity but is still pretty damn hot.

Chester French – She Loves Everybody (RAC mix)

A Heads Up ’09 artist remixed by TBE remix god RAC? Uhh, yeah dude. Chester French released their debut LP last week so look out for a post on it next week.

Kings Of Leon – Use Somebody (Andre Anjos remix)

Andre Anjos also goes by the remix moniker RAC. Got it? Nuff said.

Bloc Party – Signs (Armand van Helden remix)

An unlikely pairing but it works. I think…

The Killers – Spaceman (Steve Aoki & The Bloody Beetroots remix)

Put on those dancing shoes, kids. Actually, there’s not enough time, just dance is what you have on!

Lykke Li – Dance Dance Dance (Grandtheft remix)

Grandtheft rubs a little grime on on it to get this beauty dirtied up for the pre-party setlist.

Chris Cornell – Part Of Me ft. Timbaland (Grandtheft Disco remix)

Grandtheft rubs a little funk on it to get this crap jazzed up for the dancefloor setlist.

The Clash – Should I Stay or Should I Go (Biancardi mix)

Remixing the classics: sinful or delightful? Discuss.

Detachments – The Flowers That Fell (Parallels mix)

Fell in the love with the original version but until it surfaces as an mp3 this remix is pretty fantastic.

A.M. Architect – Next Of Kin (Ernest Gonzales remix)

Never heard the original, nor of A.M. Architect or Ernie G, but I am digging this blissed out fuzz beat.

Whomadewho – The Plot (Discodeine remix)

Couldn’t really get into the original of “The Plot” but this remix sure is keeping my groove tight.

The Hood Internet – Lump Sum Of Paris (Bon Iver vs Friendly Fires)

Ok, its a mash-up, but that’s a remix to me so deal with it. And besides, why are you complaining about two of last years best songs being woven so beautifully?
