♫ The Very Best – Julia (Javelin Re-do) / This is one of the best remixes I’ve heard in a while. Javelin takes one of the weaker tracks off of TVB’s fantastic album and completly rips it up, turning “Julia” in to a full throttle fist-pumper. [more The Very Best]

♫ The Gossip – Love Long Distance (Fake Blood Remix) / I haven’t even heard the original version of this song yet but i’m worried that after this I am just going to be disappointed. So far The Gossip’s remixes have treated me better than their originals. [more Gossip/FB]

♫ Chester French – She Loves Everybody (Pance Party Remix) / Things get dirty right off the bat as Pance Party slice and dice this TBE fave into a strobe light-worthy hip-churner that finally builds to swinging bleep-fest. [more CF/PP]

♫ Phoenix – Love Like A Sunset (Shuttle Remix) /  Just when you thought they had remixed every song on Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix they went ahead and did the filler one too. Phoenix’s sorry excuse for two track slots gets some meat on it’s bones with a remix by Passion Pit’s drummer. Appreciate this one because I could have posted Animal Collective’s remix instead but I’m not a sadist. [more Phoenix]

♫ Don Diablo vs Phoenix vs Jay Z – 99 Fences / I got 99 problems but a Phoenix remix shortage aint one. It’s only fitting that the years’ most active remixer gets up on the most remixed band. ♫ Simian Mobile Disco – Audacity Of Huge (Dada Life Guerilla Fart #10) / Finally we get an “Audacity” remix that doesn’t butcher the thing. Dada Life manage not to throw the baby out with the bathwater as they tweak the original just enough keep it fresh. What’s up with that huge build to a total non-break at 2:54? ♫ Little Boots – Earthquake (Treasure Fingers’ Epicwave Mix) / I was going to post Yes Giantess’ remix of Little Boots’ new single but then my boy Treasure Fingers served up this sweet-ass slice of remix pie and here we are. The bass-line/hand-clap combo on this one is golden, further proof that Boots is better remixed.  [more LB/TF]

♫ James Yuill – No Suprise (V?V?V? remix) / Did someone mention hand-claps? Heck yeah! Turn those guitars to ‘slow grind,’ do a little “Paul is dead” backwards vocals, and you’ve got yourself another solid (if odd) “No Surprise” remix. [more JY]

♫ The Bronx – Around The Horn (Louis XIV Remix) / This. Is. My. Jam. As if being treated to Mariachi el Bronx’s fantastic album wasn’t enough, I was given a perfect excuse to sneak this 3 year-old ripper onto TBE. ♫ LMFAO – Shooting Star (Party-Rock Remix) / So far, LMFAO have done nothing to make me proud to share a hometown. This doesn’t really change things, but should somebody drop this at the next party I will be found looking just as dumb at those tricks as I follow the songs’ orders to “shake that.”

♫ Daft Punk – Technologic (death to the throne remix) / Remixing Daft Punk is like writing fan fiction of The Bible. It’s risky business. However, since Death To The Throne has pulled this jam off with flying colors, can someone get to work on the other thing? [more DTTT]

♫ YACHT – Waste Of Time (Hedford Vachal Remix) / YACHT was one of like 84 blogasms I didn’t understand this summer but this remix is making me question everything. The truth is that if YACHT’s jams were as good as this remix I wouldn’t have to question anything because I would know they were my new favorite band. [original post]

♫ Wolfmother – New Moon Rising (YACHT Remix) / I was really hoping to like the new stuff from Wolfmother but after giving the original version of “New Moon Rising” a few spins I gave up. Good thing YACHT came along with their second worthwhile effort of the day and rubbed funktastic lotion all over it. I could do without the chick-half of YACHT sticking her vocals all up in the last minute. I want the weirdo-wail of Wolfmother ONLY!
