Bad Suns – “We Move Like The Ocean” (Sebastian Carter Remix)

I’ve been just coasting
My mind put to motion

Bad Suns – “We Move Like The Ocean”

Sounds Like… New Bad Suns. ‘Nuff said.

Where?: Los Angeles

Future: Debut Album Language & Perspective available June 24th, 2014. I’m trying to be patient…

Bad Suns – “Salt” (Peter Thomas Remix)

We all know I’m a big sucker for Bad Suns but this is not just any old new remix. Peter Thomas’ take on “Salt” is a summertime sugar rush of exceeded speed limits and coastal wind whipping through open windows. “And I scream ’til my voice is gone.” Amen.

Bad Suns – “Transpose” (NICITA Remix)

My Bad Suns love affair continues with this excellent remix from Los Angeles’ Nicita. Oh wait, there it goes. “Transpose” gets chilled out out and dreamy before something stirs from below, flipping the song once again.

Bad Suns – “Cardiac Arrest” (WoodysProduce Remix)

[soundcloud id=’135324897′]

Woody’s Produce made his name remixing hip hop but his approach to LA rockers Bad Suns is right on point. “Cardiac Arrest” gets toned down for a sunset drive up the coast. It’s all low gears and sexual tension. It suits the song damn well.

Bad Suns – “Transpose”

Nothing more exciting than getting the green light to unleash a jam I’ve been loving in private on all you guys. Sharing is caring. And I care.

Bad Suns care too. Thats why they are giving us the Transpose EP on January 21st.

Bad Suns – “Salt”

Bad Suns - Salt

The 1975 were hands down the band I was most excited about during 2013. In July I got to see them live and a little known Los Angeles band with one song on the internet opened. Bad Suns’ “Cardiac Arrest” sounded promising. Their live set sounded even better. Now, with their second song “Salt” officially out and the rest of their debut EP on constant loop (Private Soundcloud link! Baller!) I can say that these guys are the band I am most excited about for 2014. “Salt” builds on the strong promise of “Cardiac Arrest”, taking off its leather jacket and trading it for a whiskey margarita. Sunnier but still with an edge. Effortlessly cool and catchy while keeping that edge of sunshine we love in Los Angeles. Cheers to Bad Suns!

Bad Suns - Cardiac Arrest

Los Angeles’ Bad Suns have only released “Cardiac Arrest” so far but its a damn good song. Slinky, funky and with some indie rock menace. They are currently opening for The 1975 and its a good fit. Their set last night was big and raucous, a good sign of things to come from these guys. Now just get in the studio and release more music please!
