one step closer every day at the time, i won’t lose my mind, lose my mind
Good. Polished. Groovy. Solid singles. But lacking the raw energy and ferocity of Music For Men. I haven’t been reaching for this one much.
[Quickies are mini-reviews that can fit into a 140 character tweet. They are of albums that people already know of but perhaps are curious about our take on it. What did you think of the disc?]

Its Thanksgiving and time to break away from your ever so important Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Stumble-upon, Myspace (insert joke), Spotify and all things in the cyber-world. Finally, take a minute and give thanks to the important things in your life like the Family, Happiness, Food and of course The Burning Ear. You might be thinking “gee Joel, you kinda just contradicted yourself there with the whole cyber thing”. Well,… I think you’re a contradiction.
Enjoy!

Brandon’s TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don’t necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold.
See that nifty little intro in italics up there? Yeah, it was brought to my attention that these Digests didn’t come with much in the way of explanation and even dedicated TBE readers may not really understand what the heck these are considering I haven’t explained them in about 22 volumes. Oops. Anyway, this Digest has some real jam-a-roonies so quit reading my baloney and get in there!

I hope you are in desperate need of some fresh melodies, because this roundup will dig in your brain 26 chunes deep.
With more and more submissions its getting tough to keep up, but I’ve been burning the midnight oils to bring you RR Vol. 49. (Almost 50!) Don’t forget TBE was one of the first to bring remixes in the roundup format. Don’t forget to show us some love and as always GET NURDY as all hell.
Hey, by the way I’m getting my Twitter fired up. Follow me @JoelAlbers to get updates on TBE Roundups and all things Nurdy!

♫ Calvin Harris – Feel So Close (TABS Bootleg Remix) / I have a hard time seeing anyone topping this TABS rework of “Feel So Close”. This is the kind of remix that puts a fat grin on my face and a wiggle in my hips.
♫ Pendulum – The Island (Madeon remix) / Madeon is a 16 year old producer from France,… a wait, 16?! Are you F’n kidding??? This kid, ain’t a kid at all. Dude is a pro. Props.
3rd album. 1st single. Featuring singer from Primal Scream. None of those facts are really relavent here cause it’s Saturday and who has time for details? CSS are back and they are sounding a hell of a lot better than they did on their last album so I’m pumped. Find a friendly shoulder to throw an arm around and head into the night together while this one plays out in the background.

We,Joel and Scott, welcome you back. This time we bring you Remix Roundup Vol. 48. Damn, that’s a lot. We can’t believe we’re almost at 50. Time flies…, too fast these days. On that note, its time to play a little catch up.
Below we have a mix of mostly new, but some tunes we just missed out on. Hope you’re hungry, because this is going to take you up a waste size. Be smart though… No dancing for at least thirty minutes after ingesting this madness.
Get Nurdy!
