WKND remixes Flume, Reuben & The Dark, and more…

There is a guy named Max in Munich, Germany, who is making all kinds of crazy cool music under the moniker WKND. This rework of a Flume remix has been killing for me lately but he has amazing remixes of diverse bands like Reuben and The Dark (its actually how I discovered them) and Destiny’s Child as well as some killer original stuff like “Lost”. I don’t fully understand everything that I am hearing but I love it and I think you should too. Start here. End when you can’t dance any more…

[PLAYLIST] The Best REMIXES of 2012 – Part 2 (July-Dec)

Man oh man. Could we be in a better world for fun remixes of great songs? Some of the old guard has been slacking in quality lately (RAC, where you at?) but new talent is cropping up in droves. Cyril Hahn practically made his name from that Destiny’s Child remix. Noah Hyde is on the map with amazing work. Manu el Chino nabs his second spot of 2012. Too many great tracks. Get on it for the weekend and check out all the bands and remixers you may have missed through the years. And especially listen to that Years & Years remix. What a genre flip. Mmmm…..

Be sure to catch all the 2012 “BEST OF” lists!

[REMIX] Destiny’s Child – “Say My Name” (Cyril Hahn Remix)

you actin’ kinda shady, ain’t callin’ me baby, why the sudden change?

♫ Destiny’s Child – Say My Name (Cyril Hahn Remix)

Just imagine you are dating this guy for a while and you really like him and then you start noticing that he never calls you by your name and you start getting this suspicion that he isn’t really into you and maybe is even dating other girls. Thats gotta be a dark feeling. Cyril Hahn takes us to that dark side via the seedy back rooms of the dance club. It’s body movement as catharsis. Dancing hurts, tears burn, but you know its all necessary because when you get home its the memories of dancing that are in your head instead of him.
