Brandon’s TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don’t necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold.
A big batch of goodies this time round. Plus, since it’s a nice round number Jacob Youngblood Ziegler hooked us up with a fancy Anniversary Edition of the TBE Digest art. Stare at it in awe as you listen.

NEW RELEVENT JAMS
♫ Phantogram – Don’t Move / Phantogram return with the Nightlife EP and this is a great sign of the continued sexiness these two are working with.
♫ Vacationer – Gone While not nearly as good as previous track “Trip” this shows good promise of more magic to come from this Body Language collaborator.
It’s Christmas time. I’m in a cabin in the woods. My stolen internet connection is worthless. My family is going through some stuff. I love you all but I’m just not able to give this post all the detailing that it deserves. I hope that you are too busy with your own holiday festivities to care and can just kick back and enjoy this collection of jams for the interesting mix that they are. Dive in and enjoy. I know I’ve been.

Now that Joel & Scott have joined Team TBE and are piloting the Remix Roundup train to partyville on the regular I have updated the Digest format to act as a roundup of all sorts of goodness coming my way! Hopefully this will be a more regular and timely than it was. Orient yourself below and enjoy!

NEW RELEVENT JAMS
♫ Sensual Harassment – Boss / Dare I say this song is boss? I probably shouldn’t. It’s definitely rad, though. Sensusal Harassment go 3 for 3 with their limited catalog!
Duck Sauce is the epic duo of A-Track and Armand van Helden and they are pretty much murdering it. What few jams they have released so far each get better and better. And then there is their videos! Their videos! The one for “Barbara Streisand” is below and features every hip cat in the indie scene, as well as a C+ Barbara impersonator, all getting down this jams unstoppable funk. See how many heads you can spot! My favorite it the naked hood lounging cameo from The Fat Jew (dude is the only reason to be on Twitter). Get pumped, it’s Friday! Read more

The music this week is not so much “craptastic” as it is “disappointing” or “uninteresting.” Anyway, enough “quotation marks,” let’s get on to the “music.”
Just when you thought you weren’t going to be getting an exclusive mixtape to jam to all weekend, BAM, here it is! Surprises are fun as hell, but not nearly as fun as this buttery smooth funk-fest that L.A.’s own DJ Bouji has served up for us. I have seen this guy spin a few times and he always lights it up with his flow. His Just Quit mix is no different as he mixes genres, decades, and styles into one big party anthem. If you have been listening to his Mash N Slash of Sammy Bananas remix of Trackademicks “Enjoy What You Do” then you know what’s up. If you check out the tracklist after the jump you’ll see Miike Snow rolled into Peter Gabriel and Kings Of Leon paving the way for The Outfield. I love it. Download the whole thing below and have a kick ass weekend.
