So my little buddy Stevie is embarking a pretty big journey tomorrow and I’m trying to help him calm his nerves. He started this Kickstarter project to build some friends to send postcards to. If thats confusing you can check out his project because he explains it better than me. However, I did make him a playlist for his travels and figured I would share it with you guys!
When I played him the playlist he had a few comments I’ll include here. Enjoy and please do check out his project!
2012 was a fantastic year for party songs. It seems that music is having more fun than ever and I couldn’t be happier to share it with you all. We’ve all had some epic parties set to some epic party playlists and tonight is the night to top them all. (Or not, really. Nothing worse than NYE pressure.) So take a trip down the Read more

Cells solidifies Fake Blood as one of the more interesting electronic producers in the game. We already heard the spastic piano banger “Yes No” and rest of the album brings a great collection of next level jams and Fake Blood’s great vocals. “All In The Blink” cranks up the jumpy piano fun and really gets things swinging is a completely different way than “Yes No.” There is even cowbell. Its range and diversity like that that make Cells so rewarding. I just don’t understand why more people aren’t all over this guy. Get into it.

Why: In addition to the best Miike Snow “Animal” remix, Fake Blood’s “I Think I Like It” was one of the badass bouncy dance jams that got me through summer 2009 and now he is back! “Yes/No” is a nervous piano-led creepster that lurks just behind your speakers, hurling uncertainties at you. The only retaliation is to move yoself. Whatever, by the 4:05 drop you’ll have no choice.
Got a lot of goodies here and as usual lately my super-favorites are in bold! Dig in, rock out, and see if you can spot my Web Sheriff baiting. It’s been a while since that guy came around! What gives?

NEW RELEVENT JAMS
♫ The Kills – Satellite / Mosshart finally gets back to The Kills and we’ve got a new album on the horizon! Although, I was hoping for a bit more punch.
♫ Say Hi – Devils / Long time TBE faves return with a bit more of a folksy vibe but the same signature vocals and shuffling Read more
I don’t know about you but 2009 was the year I fell in live with remixes. Starting TBE opened up my world to so many amazing reinterpretations of both great and not so great songs. Having always been more of a cover song guy this was new territory for me but I dove in headfirst and have been enjoying the ride so far. Good music is a personal thing and messing with great music is even more so. This is very much a subjective list and is based on nothing besides how much I love and respect the work done. Oh, and the numbering system is pretty much bullshit but I had to put them in some kind of order. Anyway, enjoy. I certainly have.

In my never ending quest to make these roundups leaner and meaner this post was supposed to be onl 8 songs deep. Then I started putting everything together and it was one “Oh, shit! What about….” after another. Anyway, here is another remix beast for your weekend pleasure. Some real jamaroonies in this batch so get pumped!
