Her – “We Choose” // Elspeth Diederix

“We Choose” isn’t a surprising song – you could probably guess within the first few seconds that there’d be a gospel choir and horns getting involved at some point, and you’d be absolutely right. But that doesn’t make the hands-in-the-air moment any less powerful. The real challenge will be figuring out how to keep those snaps going while also holding your lighter high in the sky.

We first fell in love with Her with their breakout song “Five Minutes” back in 2016. It is fantastic to see band member Victor Solf continuing on with Her after the death of bandmate Simon Carpentier last year. They were halfway through making their debut album and Simon wanted Victor to continue when he succumbed to Cancer. The self titled record  is out March 30th.
