Friends’ “I’m His Girl” is basically a song about owning your relationship cause you know how great and healthy it is. It’s basically about swagger. So who better to mash it up with? Brilliant.
We all know I hate Best of Lists that come out before the year is over so nearly 4 weeks into 2012 I finally present my best albums of 2011! (Still a day faster than last year!) Below are the top 10 albums from my 2011 followed by 10 honorable mentions. The list was compiled by weighing total play counts along with longevity. Not only did I Read more

Let the night sweats end my fiending friends because below is a hot steaming pile of bass bombs
Attention: For those in the Seattle area- I’m throwing a huge party at The Tacoma Art Museum on New Years Eve.  You can find all the info you need HERE.  Warning:  Bass slaps in that face of yours will be frequent.  WORLD!!

Its always a special occasion when we drop a sick-nasty-wobbly-wobblefest on our TBE peeps. Super-obvi today will be no exception. Rest assured, your worldwide dub dealer has got your fix… So, get that change of cloths and that extra pair of undies ready. The BASS is back.
I figured this picture fit in nicely with Halloween steadily approaching. Just don’t stare too long. Side note: I like my bass swollen, not my women.

♫ Fytch, Captain Crunch, Carmen Forbes – Raindrops / No explanation required for this level of choonage.
♫ Silver Medallion – All I Ask (Lazy Ants & Norihito Ogawa Remix) / Bass infused filth may send you into wet-robot convulsions. I once new a wet-robot, his name was Steve.
i pledge allegiance, uh, to my grandma, for that banana pudding, our piece of americanaÂ
The boring “Otis” song/video made hopes low but jams like “Ni**as in Paris” & super ballad “Made in America” bring heat. I’m down. 6/10
[Quickies are mini-reviews that can fit into a 140 character tweet. They are of albums that people already know of but perhaps are curious about our take on it. What did you think of the disc?] Read more

Brandon’s TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don’t necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold.
It’s a big one folks. Proceed with caution (and good speakers). Also note the new Digest logo that will be here to stay. Enough of that little weird cartoon guy we had for so long, amiright!? Cheers to new beginnings! And new jams!

NEW RELEVENT JAMS
♫ Toro y Moi – All Alone / Toro y Moi continue their Digest domination with this great jam off their new EP Freaking Out.
J. Cole impressed me last year with his tight rhymes and beats but subsequent tracks seemed to lack fire. Then this track landed in my skull. Aaaaand now the hype makes sense again. That stutter beat comes straight from the future to hovercraft Cole’s versus straight to infectiousville. The Jay-Z verse is nothing but a side dish here, adding extra street cred to the Fayetteville, N. Carolina, native’s debut LP Cole World: The Sideline Story which dropped today. If it’s full of jams half this jamming then I’m all over it.
