[LP] Joe & Will Ask? – VIKINGS (w/ “Santander”)

With previously posted Joe & Will Ask track “Freya” kicking off Vikings you know it starts right. And if you know the legendary status of their previous jams then you can imagine it continues just as right. And then you could toast to having been 100% correct so far. Cheers. This London duo continues flying under too many radars as they drop glitchy,  bouncy, funky, groove jams that openly beg for low lights and high body movement. They may not be dancefloor crushers to everybody but the kinetic mood they set is undeniable. “Santander” builds up and then pulls back, leaving various trails of a beat in its path. Its a journey you just have to give yourself to.

The year comes to a close tomorrow and it’s time to start compiling those “Best Of” lists we all love. What better way to kick things off than with a mega-mix of the year’s best ass-shaking jams. Those tracks that just take a hold and force you to dip that hip, and just in time for New Year’s Eve!

Some are originals, some are remixes, and some are mashups. It’s no means a definitive list nor are the tracks in any sort of ranking. These are the tracks that have gotten my blood pumping all year long and so what better way to celebrate them than letting them ring in the new year! If I’m going to get my crazy club music on then this is how I want it done! Instrumental save for some well placed “woaaahh”s, “Man The Cannons” is prime dance party material: thumping, pulsing, scratching and grinding it’s way through my sweat soaked t-shirt and into my heart. Apparently Joe and Will Ask? have been peddling their awkward moniker and electro-house beats around London for a while now. Judging by this track I’m guessing their live shows/DJ sets are bonkers.
