[VIDEO/REMIX] SBTRKT – “Hold On feat. Sampha” & Joneses Remix

So I slept on SBTRKT. Then a friend told me I should really check him out. I didn’t. I’m not very smart. Then I saw this video and even my apparently feeble brain was able to figure out something interesting was happening. SBTRKT’s minimal beat is a perfect counterpart to Sampha’s twitching falsetto and the video’s haunting scene punctuates it all perfectly. But then there is this Joneses remix that Joel posted a while back which adds a sticky layer of groove to the original and further confirms that I have some serious catching up to do.
