Well, its finally here! The full album download of The Burning Ear’s 5 Year Anniversary Album! A big thank to you all the bands that made such amazing jams for this project. It is a hug honor to have my name stamped on the cover of this but the real props go to the musicians. You all killed it!

Kid Cadaver snuck onto the scene in 2013 with one of the most enduring and catchy indie rock jams of the year. If you have seen their sweat soaked live sets, then you know how much more known these guys deserve to be. Hopefully this adventurous remix by newcomer Don Loemax gets them some more ears.

As my holiday gift to Los Angeles, The Burning Ear is proud to present a night of cocktails, bowling, and live music with two of my favorite LA bands! Come celebrate the beginning of a new year of live music! The Spare Room is an awesome bar in Hollywood that has fine cocktails, a bunch of cool games, AND a bowling lane! On Thursday January 9th they will also have the sweet sounds of Scavenger Hunt and Kid Cadaver!

So it’s Monday and your feet are cold and you are staring at your second cup of coffee wondering if you’ve just become immune. You need some Kid Cadaver in your head! These LAÂ live show-favorites have been on TBE before but I feel strongly that their self-titled EP deserves its own post. 6 Â tracks of instantly energizing and infectious indie rock jams. EP closer “Stick Around” has been my favorite lately. But I don’t ever skip a track to get there. Enjoy the ride!Â
I am more than pleased to announce that The Burning Ear has teamed up with fellow LA bloggers Blah Blah Blah Science and Free Bike Valet for the hottest stage of music at this weekend’s Venice Music Crawl. VMC is an all day FREE music event along Venice’s Lincoln Blvd and we have some awesome bands lined up to play. TBE alums like Story of The Running Wolf, Gamble & Burke, Walla, Kid Cadaver, & Memoir are on the bill as well as a handful of new favorites. Plus our venue is the famous Wurstküche beer and sausage hall across the street from where I grew up!

Kid Cadaver is sort of a misnomer considering the amount of body movement these guys induce. “Stable” is definitely the Weekend At Bernie’s kind of cadaver. Booze, bikinis, and pool parties.
