Thank goodness its Friday. Thank goodness Memoryy no longer go by Kitten Berry Crunch. And thank goodness we have this sweet as hunk of fun to get us through the weekend. If Memoryy’s jam “Nostalgia” is the anchor for this remix EP, then the Brothertiger remix is the sea it floats in. Soft, soothing, and with just the right rhythmic lapping at the hull of my brain. I’ll let you all figure out what other nautical items the other tracks are because I’m already drifting out to sea…
Lets not talk about the fact this year is already half over. Thats just insane. About as insane as the quality of jams that have been pumping through TBE HQ’s speakers these past 6 months. Here is the best of the best. Did I miss any? Did you miss any?

Why: Don’t let the name fool you, this isn’t a joke. Unless you consider blissing out to crisp dance-pop gems while colored strobe lights freeze your shapes a joke. This is serious. Seriously groovy. Shaun Hettinger once had a bands names The Squares. They broke up and he started making music with his cat. They eventually broke up too and Shaun moved to NYC where he continued studying Wham and crafting Kitten Berry Crunch’s sound. “When This Is Over” was the first fruit of that labor and I highly suggest you partake. Dreams expands on KBC’s sound, pushing the infectiousness higher (“Black and Blue”) as well as general danceability (“The Flash”) and funkiness (“Miami”). A few weeks ago the name Kitten Berry Crunch made me laugh. Now it makes me smile for different reasons.
