Passion Pit – Take A Walk (The M Machine Remix)  / First we had the glorious Pecking Duk remix and now this and its not even Christmas.  The M Machine, hailing from the Bay Area have created a straight up slappin mix here.

La Roux – I’m Not Your Toy (Data Remix)  / Not a new tune by any means, but what a chune it is… How this song somehow slipped through the Lights & Music cracks blows my mind.  Without further ado, enjoy.

♫ M.I.A. – Internet Connection – (Flux Pavilion Remix) / Being music fanatics there are few things more annoying than a bad internet connection holding you back.  Honestly, we get frustrated just thinking about it.  That being said, there has probably been a lot of creative goodness to come from such a irritating problem.  This song being one.

♫ Brand New – Daisy (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix) / Ohh Canadia, thank you so much for giving us the production Dj duo from Montreal.  Thank you too, Baby Jesus.  We will be hearing much, much more from these dudes.

♫ The Dance Party- Sasha Don’t Sleep (Dillon Francis Remix) / Brandon posted another rad mix of this song too, not to mention the original track back in 09.  We’ve really taken a liking to this Sasha girl, and we’re pretty sure  that this Dillon Francis remix will keep her dancing.

♫ Lady Gaga- Monster (Computer Blue Remix) / Ummm yes.  Computer Blue, the duo from OK city have graced all of our eardrums with a BANGER.  This one is special.

Grime. Filth. Melt. Chunk. Wobble. Smack. Gnar. Nasty. BASS.

We, Joel & Scott, are proud to announce we will be bringing the genre of DUBSTEP to The Burning Ear through our very special “Dubstep Roundup” series.  Our cold lockers are packed to the gills with devastatingly heavy sounds and we can’t wait to share.  Look for us to release this new series exclusively on Fridays twice a month beginning this Friday.

So here, for now, chew on this, for it is only the beginning friends, it is only the beginning.

♫ La Roux- In For The Kill (Skream’s Let’s Get Ravey Mix) This song isn’t new by any means.  BUT, it is delightfully evil and full of emotion (A perfect introduction to our most exciting series yet “Dubstep Roundups”).  Keep quiet, and listen to this cinematic tune.  It may induce goose-bumps.

If this is your first time to the Burning Ear then welcome to The TBE Digest, a place where I take a break from my usual gushing enthusiasm and cover some recent tracks that I am not so in love with but are still interesting/relevant/whatever. I’ve also started throwing covers in as well because, well, because I love covers. Dive in!

♫ MGMT – Flash Delirium / The first single from MGMT’s follow-up, Congratulations, which is streaming for free at their website. I haven’t heard it yet because frankly, “Flash Delirium” doesn’t really make me want to. It’s not that it’s even “not as good as “Kids”/”Time To Pretend”/”Electric Feel,” it’s just not very listenable.

♫ Born Ruffians – Sole Brother / The first taste from Born Read more
