Alex Feder – “Moments of Silence” (New Leonard Friend)

Sounds like… Leonard Friend’s main man Alex Feder is venturing out with his own name and a renewed desire to make us all dance. But this is no obvious pop. Feder toys with beats and hooks just enough to tease the groove until normal dancing isn’t enough and you need to go full Flashdance on your desk.

Location: Los Angeles

Future: An EP soon. Also, Feder played a show of mine at The Spare Room recently and with two drummer backing his ripping guitar work it was one of the most fun shows I’ve seen in a while. Do not miss him when he plays live.

It’s got handclaps, a driving beat, and those squeaked-out squirrel vocals Passion Pit used to do so well. Recipe for awesomeness in my book.
