In the middle of planning my next Lights & Music event, I decided to dust out the old Itunes when I found this dubstep roundup that was meant to go up a few weeks ago.  Sorry about that guys.  I’m still trying to find a balance between all of the projects I’ve taken on in the last year.  This roundup reflects the much more melodic side of dubstep; which frankly is what I prefer.  So, in an attempt to just get this bad boy up on the web waves, I’ll skip the wordiness and just press publish.  Have no fear though, the bass is still there, so turn your speakers up and get down with yourself.
P.S.- I’ll have another Dubstep Roundup up in the next couple days. Â Until then…

Drake just dropped a one-two punch of videos that would be post-worthy in their own right but paired together and its further testament to this guy’s game. He brings shit to the table and for that I have mad respect. Plus, “Take Care.” I mean, that song. Damn.
Lil’ Wayne on the other hand… Who knows what is going on with that guy. Still on his rave-skater vibe apparently.
With craziness of SXSW nearly a week behind us, its feels good to be home… and although I pride myself on my party prowess- I think it will take weeks to fully recover from that madness.  51 shows in four days… that has to be a record for an individual party.  In the mean time (back in reality), I’m supplementing my diet with extreme amounts of caffeine and sugar.  If Im diagnosed with diabetes in a week, we’ll certainly know why.
Its only thursday, but with the combo of caffeine and the sweet tuneage below, a spontanouse dance party at work is absolutely necessary. Â Get down with your self.
Kick it.

Brandon’s TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don’t necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold.
It’s a big one folks. Proceed with caution (and good speakers). Also note the new Digest logo that will be here to stay. Enough of that little weird cartoon guy we had for so long, amiright!? Cheers to new beginnings! And new jams!

♫ Boots Electric – Boots Electric Theme / The first single from Eagles Of Death Metal’s frontman Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes. Hmm… I wanna love it but it’s just no EODM track.
♫ Wale – Lacefrontin’ / Remember when this guy was supposed to be the big thing? Just not feeling it. So much going on here but kinda nothing going on.
We,Joel and Scott, welcome you back. This time we bring you Remix Roundup Vol. 48. Damn, that’s a lot. We can’t believe we’re almost at 50. Time flies…, too fast these days. On that note, its time to play a little catch up.
Below we have a mix of mostly new, but some tunes we just missed out on. Hope you’re hungry, because this is going to take you up a waste size. Be smart though… No dancing for at least thirty minutes after ingesting this madness.
Get Nurdy!

and know i am well aware that you can bring a man to his knees and get what you need without saying please but can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat
I have no clue who Lloyd is but the guy has Andre 3000 dropping verses and Lil Wayne on the intro so he must have something going on. Well, his lady still left him and he is sad. Fair enough. Well, missing your ex never sounded this good or made your grandma blush this much but I’m on board. Sexy hit of the summer? Oh, and can we get an Andre 3000 album please?
