Dubstep Roundup Vol. 32 – 6.18.2012 [Adventure Club, Kill Paris, Ellie Goulding, Purity Ring, and more…]

Welcome To Dubstep Roundup Vol. 32

What up my TBE peeps?  Its been long overdue, I know.  The Reason: As some of you know I’ve been working on several other projects.  Mainly, Lights & Music Entertainment; a Music Blog / Concert & Event Production Series.   Does this mean I’m done with TBE?  Nope, but most of my time will be spent building content for my own blog.  Don’t worry, my Remix & Dubstep Roundups are alive and well over there.  In fact, they are about to be better than ever.

I truly hope you have your bowels in check for this shit, because its about to get Nurdy as all get-up.

Frankly, its not safe in here.

For more jams or by any of these artists use the ‘tags’ links at the bottom of the post!  Follow @Lights3Music on Twitter for updates on remixes, dubstep and all things Nurdy.

Adventure Club – Do I See Color (Dafusia Remix) “LME” favorites get the Dafusia treatment.  Have no clue who Dafusia is, but I dig the way he treats tracks…

Band Of Horses – The Funeral (Sound Remedy Remix) / This is one hell of a melodic dubstep tune.  Sound Remedy, a Lights & Music alum, was working with magic glow-sticks when he created this gem. Read more

GEORGIA FAIR make me PICTURE our FRAMES rocking out on the road

this time we’ll leave this town

♫ Georgia Fair – Picture Frames

The only thing better than finding a new favorite song is having it been recommended by one of our very own. (Thanks Lisa!) It wasn’t easy tracking down this jam but was definitely worth the effort. “Picture Frames” is a folksy toe-tapper that begs for you to sing along as it delightfully bounces around your speakers. Lisa put it well when she mentioned “road trips.” I can definitely see this jam inducing a bit of lead-foot on the gas pedal as the wind whips by and the road stretches out ahead. Georgia Fair are a from Sydney, Australia, and making some waves over their as they head on tour with Lisa Mitchell. Let’s hope they can do some recording on the road!

Lisa Mitchell and her Coin Laundry

see now i’m here sitting on the edge throwing these stones to their long lost friends

Lisa Mitchell – Coin Laundry

Oh Lisa Mitchell, what the heck are you doing with your life? As an Australian Idol finalist at the wee age of 16 you were supposed to fade into obscurity and enjoy the rest of your teens only mildly scarred by your 3.2 minutes of fame. Instead, you craft a hauntingly beautiful EP and release it before your seventeenth birthday. Your next year, 2008, sees you release another EP which contained one of my favorite songs of that summer (below). Now, barely 19, you have your debut LP Attic Space coming out this summer and the stellar single “Coin Laundry” on repeat on my iTunes. What are you doing girl? Seriously, you’re making us all look bad.
