Passion Pit – Take A Walk (The M Machine Remix) / First we had the glorious Pecking Duk remix and now this and its not even Christmas.  The M Machine, hailing from the Bay Area have created a straight up slappin mix here.
La Roux – I’m Not Your Toy (Data Remix) / Not a new tune by any means, but what a chune it is… How this song somehow slipped through the Lights & Music cracks blows my mind.  Without further ado, enjoy.
So
Welcome
Previously, we had been working from a Friday bi-weekly format that many of you have come very a accustomed to. But, as awesome as those Friday roundups were, keeping to that schedule sometimes proved to be quite difficult. Not to mention resulting in many Roundups being far too large.  I decided to clean things up.
The New Philosophy is simple… I will post a new R-R everytime I have 15 new TBE worthy remixes. There is no set schedule. Does this mean I will post less often??? No, actually its quite the contrary. If you want to stay up to date on all remix roundups, then follow me on twitter @JoelAlbers
Anyway, enough with the serious talk… Remix Roundup Vol. 51 is about to blow your head off. PUSSSHH PLAY.

♫ Madonna – Like A Prayer (Viceroy + Alkamyme Remix) / I’ve been looking for a decade for a quality remix of this song. The search is over.
♫ Dada Life – Fight Club Is Closed (Religion Remix) / This one puts a huge mischievous grin on my face. This is what I call a 4-On-The-Floor BANGER. This may just coast its way into that all important Top 50 remixes of 2011 list.
Wow.
There are some potential changes to the site underway but until I get a breather from work I won’t be able to think about any of that. I can say that today I will be retiring my tradition of post titles. There were a thing I started waaay back when and although they are sometimes fun I feel like a more straightforward title may be smoother for everyone involved. The Internet is confusing enough without me trying to “clever” with my post titles. Try to hold back the tears, I know. Anyway, to the music! Read more
Matt & Kim are back! While I’ve never fallen in love with any of their albums, I have always been a huge fan simply because they are the most fun band to watch perform. Ever. If you have never seen the video for their debut’s highlight “Yea Yeah” then fix that now. While you are at it, make sure you watch their video for last years “Lessons Learned.” Brilliant. Ok, back to the music. Matt & Kim have always been so scrappy and ragged that it’s a (pleasant) surprise that they were so embraced by the mainstream. Their recent notoriety would make it prime time to drop an overproduced mess of songs on forthcoming LP Sidewalks but I trust the Brooklyn duo to keep it real. The albums first single, “Cameras,” shows off a happy medium of their signature ragged drums n’ keyboards combo as well as some nice horns and some other weird effects. It’s the most “full” Matt & Kim song ever but still sticks to their sound. I’m officially stoked on Sidewalks (out Nov. 2) and looking forward to some down and dirty house parties with this blasting on the boombox!
I know it’s been a while since the last Just Burn It! mix but you may have noticed all the changes to the site instead. Well as site tweaking settles down I’ll be making more mixes for y’all. Lets start with this one!
As spring arrives there are often days that turn out to be less warm than we would have hoped. I often find these days to be the most depressing. At least in winter you know what to expect but during these transitional times it can be tough. Hope is often higher than the mercury. On these depressing days it helps to have a soundtrack to pick you back up, and what’s better than a solid hour of upbeat music! There are dance-offs, face-offs, walk-offs and now an upbeat-off! Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Anyway, here are 19 tracks that are guaranteed to get you amped! From hand-claps to fist-pumps, it’s 60 minutes of pure upbeat psyched motivation! Make it your soundtrack to spring cleaning! Your place has kinda been looking like a dump…
Track list after the dump. I mean jump.
Yo,
