[VIDEO] M.I.A. – “Bad Girls”

As commenter Voller Varna said on Stereogum: “In your FACE! Kanye and Jay-Z.” Amen. I don’t even like M.I.A. but still, amen.

Directed by Romain Garvas, the same dude that will soon be directing some big name shit. Guaranteed.

Dubstep Roundup Vol. 13 – 3.25.2011 [BAND OF HORSES, THE BEATLES, NANCY SINATRA, WAKA FLOCKA and more… ]

Happy Friday to YOU world.  Its time for everyone to get the hell out of the office and get ready to dance with the devil, play with fire, shake brains with Mr. Yuck, say yeehaw to cowboys (that’s for you Jeff), pump fists with bros, get greasy with hipsters, and Nurd the hell out with Joel & Scott.

♫ Chase And Status ft. Delilah – Time (RIOT 87 Remix) / This song is a banger that will grind at all your senses.  Its like RIOT 87 smashed dubstep and rock into a garbage disposal and created gold.  Thank you RIOT 87.  MORE PLEASE.

♫ Hussle Club – Loose Tights (Flinch Remix) / 1.) The intro feels like your sunny day just might be in danger of some stormy weather.  2.) The calm before the storm….  3.) Don’t get sea sick because you’re in for a wavy ride.

Holler!  Its your dub stomping Dub-dealers here with your bi-weekly fix.  Short and to the point this time.  Its friday, its Nurdy time, its just that time, so get on with it.

♫ M.I.A. – Internet Connection – (Flux Pavilion Remix) / Being music fanatics there are few things more annoying than a bad internet connection holding you back.  Honestly, we get frustrated just thinking about it.  That being said, there has probably been a lot of creative goodness to come from such a irritating problem.  This song being one.

♫ Brand New – Daisy (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix) / Ohh Canadia, thank you so much for giving us the production Dj duo from Montreal.  Thank you too, Baby Jesus.  We will be hearing much, much more from these dudes.

The Best Songs of 2010 for Shaking Your Ass/Rump/Donk/Moneymaker/What Your Mama Gave You: A New Years Eve Collection

The year comes to a close tomorrow and it’s time to start compiling those “Best Of” lists we all love. What better way to kick things off than with a mega-mix of the year’s best ass-shaking jams. Those tracks that just take a hold and force you to dip that hip, and just in time for New Year’s Eve!

Some are originals, some are remixes, and some are mashups. It’s no means a definitive list nor are the tracks in any sort of ranking. These are the tracks that have gotten my blood pumping all year long and so what better way to celebrate them than letting them ring in the new year! More specific lists coming once the year actually ends!

I’ve broken them down into three parts for easier navigation. If these lists were hot sauces they would Read more

Joel & Scotts Top 50 Remixes 2010

More links at the bottom! ///

Ok, so we’ve got some remixes here! I have to say, I haven’t been blown away by a lot of remixes this year. A handful have been on repeat but most others have just lasted a few listens. Anyway, RAC is back in full effect, basically dropping pure gold. Don Diablo is doing his thing, turning so-so tracks into epicness. The Soundmen are back with another super-infectious remix. The Hood Internet (and Jay-Z??) are dominating the little Mashup section at the bottom. Some familiar names, some fresh faces, all great jams. I’m going to leave these without comments for now because frankly, they don’t need them and I want to get this list out in time for Friday night! Rock on! Read more

♫ Oasis – Wonderwall (Questions Version) / Jay-Z fucked up his attempt and Ryan Adams’ cover is beautiful. Now we have this remix to add a little gritty funk to these timeless lyrics. Sweet. Read more
