Panic City and Michael Mayeda are back at it again. Â Really, when are they not? Â This time producing a remix of Calvin Harris & Ne-Yo’s “Lets Go” for the Pepsi Remix Contest on Beatport.
If you dig the mix like I do, then follow this “Beatport Link” and vote for the TBE regulars to have a shot to open up for Calvin Harris in Ibiza.
P.S. Â Ssssshhh don’t tell them, but if they win, I think I’ll have to crash that 5 night beast of a vacation in Ibiza. Â Wicked.

Because sometimes Saturday is a good day for a fresh batch of remixes.
I’m back to butter up your eardrums with some radicool (yes, I know radicool isn’t a real word, but in my vocabulary- it is) jams. As you know, our cold lockers are packed to the gills with sonic tunes and electronic robots.  We are quickly approaching the night, and frankly the time to start getting saucy, nurdy, weird, (insert adjective here) etc.   So look, right now I’m envisioning what is to be the first global cyber dance party ever… and guess what?  You’re all invited.  I’ve got the jams, you’ve got the moves, so lets do this.
Shout out to all the followers from South Africa and around the world. We love hearing from you guys.

Yes, the rumors are true. The Burning Ear is in full effect at this year’s SXSW. With the help of Joel’s Lights & Music Entertainment and the awesome people at The Firehouse Lounge & Hostel we have cooked up the biggest blog curated lineup Austin has ever seen. Plus, it’s FREE! Â Seriously. Sit down before you click through to the full event page.
I wont even get into too many details here lest those of you not in Austin this week flip out with jealousy. If you feel strong enough then dip down below for some teasers. I hope to see some of you come and rock out! Don’t forget to say hi and high-five!
Why: With the start of Panic City’s new record label “BlackLights Music”, Michael Mayeda and Panic City are about to be two of the biggest up-and-coming names in electronic music.  That is, if they keep producing heat like this.  We’ve known them for awhile as Dj Megaman & Dj Panic city, but with their new line of original work, came new monikers.  Catch Panic City at our SXSW Showcase Thursday, March 15th @ 9:00pm.

Welcome back TBE peeps!  Today is hump day, so I’d figured I would fit in a little party playlist to help pass the time.  If you didn’t know by now, TBE is throwing a showcase at SXSW this year.. and yes, we’ll have lots of TBE artists. We’re super busy closing out the lineup and other details, so I’ll make this post short and sweet.  Stay tuned for our formal showcase announcement.
Enjoy the jams!

Holy hickory haystacks!  Major problems on the internet connection frontier today.  If you follow me on the twitter, you know that I was trying to have this up in the AM.  Where is M.I.A. and Flux Pavilion when you need them?
Anyway, we’ve got the holidays smacking us in our faces right now, which means the year is pretty much over,… Soo I just put together a steaming pile of bangers for your end of the year listening pleasure. Â Open your ears and take these glorious gems to bed with you.
Attention: For those in the Seattle area- I’m throwing a huge party at The Tacoma Art Museum on New Years Eve.  You can find all the info you need HERE.  Warning:  Bass slaps in that face of yours will be frequent.  WORLD!!

Its Thanksgiving and time to break away from your ever so important Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Stumble-upon, Myspace (insert joke), Spotify and all things in the cyber-world. Finally, take a minute and give thanks to the important things in your life like the Family, Happiness, Food and of course The Burning Ear. You might be thinking “gee Joel, you kinda just contradicted yourself there with the whole cyber thing”. Well,… I think you’re a contradiction.
Enjoy!
