Why: You know, this song hits on all fronts that are of interest to me, as a young man and all. I’ll let Silver Medallion explain: “it’s a dance song about girls, america, circa 2004 Lindsay Lohan, house music and everything that’s amazing in the world”. Now that I’m totally down with, as long as we can have 2004 Lindsay and present day Lindsay. That would be a party.
Yes, the rumors are true. The Burning Ear is in full effect at this year’s SXSW. With the help of Joel’s Lights & Music Entertainment and the awesome people at The Firehouse Lounge & Hostel we have cooked up the biggest blog curated lineup Austin has ever seen. Plus, it’s FREE! Â Seriously. Sit down before you click through to the full event page.
I wont even get into too many details here lest those of you not in Austin this week flip out with jealousy. If you feel strong enough then dip down below for some teasers. I hope to see some of you come and rock out! Don’t forget to say hi and high-five!
Dave Edwards, a 26 year old music producer and DJ from New York has become somewhat of a TBE Remix Roundup regular these days. After a slew of successful remixes, Edwards has dropped an EP on us full of bouncy electronic beats. Given a few listens, this EP shows us that Mr. Edwards is just getting warmed up.
The EP download is free, but if you can, buy it on iTunes. Go show him some love on Facebook too, how he has less than 200 likes at this point is beyond me.

Its always a special occasion when we drop a sick-nasty-wobbly-wobblefest on our TBE peeps. Super-obvi today will be no exception. Rest assured, your worldwide dub dealer has got your fix… So, get that change of cloths and that extra pair of undies ready. The BASS is back.
I figured this picture fit in nicely with Halloween steadily approaching. Just don’t stare too long. Side note: I like my bass swollen, not my women.

♫ Fytch, Captain Crunch, Carmen Forbes – Raindrops / No explanation required for this level of choonage.
♫ Silver Medallion – All I Ask (Lazy Ants & Norihito Ogawa Remix) / Bass infused filth may send you into wet-robot convulsions. I once new a wet-robot, his name was Steve.
After over a weeks vacation down in Austin, its good to be back in the flow. Its also time to do a little catch up for all you scallywags out there. Be like a bird and keep a look-out for two roundups next week.

♫ Boots Electric – Boots Electric Theme / The first single from Eagles Of Death Metal’s frontman Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes. Hmm… I wanna love it but it’s just no EODM track.
♫ Wale – Lacefrontin’ / Remember when this guy was supposed to be the big thing? Just not feeling it. So much going on here but kinda nothing going on.
