“People” is a laid-back and direct track from singer and songwriter Steven Bamidele, an artist who managed to combine stunning melodies with infectious grooves and great beats, in order to create a sound that seems both classic and contemporary.
This particular release is full of warmth and electricity, and it has a very positive and uplifting vibe. Steven immediately stands out for his beautiful voice and for his uncanny ability to convey a lot of emotion in his phrasing. His vocal style and tone are a perfect match with the tracks’ instrumentation and vibe, making for a really interesting and direct sound. As the title of the song might suggest, “People” is really all about connecting with the audience on a deeper level, and sharing a beautiful musical moment with the artist.
The striking thing about “People” is that the song is intimate and personal thanks to its heartfelt approach. However, the tune is also upbeat and energetic, echoing the work of influential performers such as The Beatles, Bill Withers, D’Angelo or Menahan Street Band, just to mention a few.
