Yeah, I know blah blah…  What if i told you that I have one in the batters box and another on deck… just waiting there patiently, ready to slap you in the face with this waffle here (Baseball reference in 2012- check).  BTW, this waffle is made of plastic and it might hurt.

If you are an avid TBE follower you may have noticed we have had some hackers on our site lately.  So, we thought we would let you know we’ve hired some robot ninjas to judo chop the shit out if them.  Oh, you didn’t hear?  Malware Ninjas to the funking rescue!  They have laser beams, flying baby space saucers (just like the movie Battery), boob guns, and really… anything your imaginative mind could ever muster. They are now here to stay and solve any issue TBE may ever encounter.  For now, in this thing we call “the mean time”, enjoy our latest edition of our Remix Roundups.  Annnnd, by the wayss, we are experimenting with some new graphics from our local Austin friend Danielle Villarreal.

Yo, so we just made a cross country road trip back down here to the ATX.  Looks like we are going to be Austinites (?) for the foreseeable future…  SXSW, be funking ready.   On the way down, among other super awesome subjects covered and generally getting Nurdy as hell, we decided that due to a massive backlog of jamz we’re putting together a Remix Roundup of EPIC proportions (f*ck that was wordy).  Not just in numbers folks, we’re talking about game-changing, blasting in your ears drums music here.  Frankly, if you aren’t happy with this dazzling little fun-basket of tunes, then you might have to check your vitals…

The 29 Best Remixes of 2009

I don’t know about you but 2009 was the year I fell in live with remixes. Starting TBE opened up my world to so many amazing reinterpretations of both great and not so great songs. Having always been more of a cover song guy this was new territory for me but I dove in headfirst and have been enjoying the ride so far. Good music is a personal thing and messing with great music is even more so. This is very much a subjective list and is based on nothing besides how much I love and respect the work done. Oh, and the numbering system is pretty much bullshit but I had to put them in some kind of order. Anyway, enjoy. I certainly have.

Remix Roundup! ∞ Vol. 1

Yo, for real, it’s the weekend and its time to shake your moneymaker (not implying y’all are strippers or whatever). I stumble across a ton of awesome remixes as I surf this information ether-highway of ours. I don’t like giving them dedicated posts cause 1) not everyone is super into remixes and 2) I don’t want to dilute the attention that should be given to new artists. You feel me? I knew you would. So anyway, I am starting another new feature at TBE where I round up some of the sweetest remixes of late and toss ’em at you without any of the usual garnish you find in a normal post. Who knows how often I’ll do it but they wont all be this big, I just had a lot of goodies to share. Anyway, listen, love, download, dance! Just do it after the jump.
