Sounds Like… Rubblebucket have been having a hell of a good time. Playing Glastonbury, being Arcade Fire’s dancing bobble-heads, and now releasing this horntastic piece of fun. This jam has it all! Guitar crunch that would make The Faint faint, horns worthy of a No Doubt reunion, and enough untamed bleeps and bloops for a Miike Snow remix. Hold on tight.

The Faint are baaaack! If you don’t know Omaha’s The Faint then spend a moment of your post-Thanksgiving haze sorting yourself out with the classic “Agenda Suicide” below. Then get the rest of their epic album Danse Macabre and get pumped for new music from these legends. Their set at FYF Fest this year was a big sweaty highlight for me! “Evil Voices” is their new jam and has all the ripping grooves and filtered vocals I’ve come to love from these guys.
I should probably save this jam for Friday ’cause it’s gonna be tough to pull the appropriate dance moves while sitting down. Fuck it, Wednesday dance party! Somebody kill the lights and fire up the strobe! Anyone who is a fan of The Faint (me!) will definitely not recognize this as sounding similar, although Depressed Buttons is in fact 3/5th of the pioneering Omaha indie rockers. This sugary glitch n’ grind extravaganza is certainly better than the last Faint album and I’m stoked to hear what else these guys have cooked up for us on the forthcoming Qwerty EP.
