I know, I know. I promised that The Remix Roundups were back when I posted Vol 71 but then life happened and anyway, here is Vol 72 for your weekend enjoyment! I’ve posted a bunch of these before but its sure been a while and now that the weather is warmer just grab the whole playlist and kick out the jams!
I know, I know. It’s been too long. The Remix Roundups are back and I guarantee they will be more fun then ever. Here is Vol 71 for your weekend enjoyment and I already have Vol 72 coming together. Both of them are a kind of “house cleaning” of all the amazing remixes of 2013 that never got Roundup love. They will be followed by the Best Remixes of 2013 post. Thats a lot of music. Drink a lot of water and don’t forget to stretch.
Oh, and there are a few jams included in the ZIP below that aren’t on Soundcloud anymore so make sure you grab that…
So picture this, I get my hands on a remix of the recently posted (and under-appreciated) Cruiser by some guy Noah Hyde. I scope Noah’s Soundcloud and discover a treasure trove of epic remixes by all-time TBE faves like Cherub, Purity Ring, Two Door Cinema Club, and Youth Lagoon. It’s like the guy has his finger on my pulse!
Thursday night at The Palladium was awesome. Three distinctly different acts yet three distinctly great sets. First to the stage was the ever so atmospheric St. Lucia lead by front man Jean-Philip Grobler. This was by far the biggest venue I’ve ever seen St. Lucia perform in yet there wasn’t an inch of space in the place that the their dreamy jams didn’t reach. From the opening piano note on “Before The Dive†to the outro chants on their new single “Septemberâ€, St. Lucia was on point. While Read more

Carousel opened up the night (below) and brought an awesome performance. They rocked the house. However, the softer nature of their jams do not lend themselves to face melting and thats exactly what Ghost Beach did when they took the stage (above). Having last seen them at the TBE SXSW showcases where technical difficulties were many but they still raged through it was fantastic to see them with all cylinders firing and working up a sweat for all in the room. New jam “Tear Us Apart” was a highlight with its Read more

Ride that Golden Pony onto the dance floor! Ride it! Thank goodness somebody made a good TWCC song this year, because unfortunately they didn’t make any on Beacon. Just saying, I miss Tourist History.

Welcome back. I understand its Tuesday… In case you missed last week, I outlined my change in posting philosophy. In fact we’re setting a new TBE record for the shortest time between Remix Roundups. Thats right, you’re now apart of some very dramatic world history. Go ahead and tell your friends about it. Does this new philosophy always mean I will be posting this often? Not always, but sometimes. Also, check out the contest we’re running for tickets to live shows in your city (you’ve got options).
So, without further adieu, turn your speaker boxes up and jam the (F) out. Â PEACE.
For more jams or by any of these artists use the ‘tags’ links at the bottom of the post!  Follow @JoelAlbers on Twitter for updates on remixes, dubstep and all things Nurdy.
