Its been two weeks, but like always, Joel & Scott are back to present Remix Roundup Vol. 36.
Listen party peeps, in 10 we were supposedly “ready for a good night“, but let us tell you something little bit different for 11. In 11, we are going to create that good night.  Why? Cuz this one goes to 11 and its time for some funky, dazzling, crunk, promiscuous, weird shite to go down. And, if that aint enough to motivate you. The apocalypse is approaching scary fast these days…
In 11, we forget the fly whips and go with fly chicks, and if your down… you might come to TBE to check out some wicked ass hits.
OHH YEAHZ. ENJOY BITCHES!

♫ Zero 7 – Medicine Man (Baby Monster Remix) / Here we have LA based Baby Monster giving Zero 7’s Medicine Man the treatment and hot damn we love this sweet sound. We met the chaps in Baby Monster a few months back while they were out on tour with the Klaxons; excellent live set and excellent dudes. We suggest you seek out their work, if you haven’t already!
Ok party peeps. Here we have four songs each having a variety of remixes that we think deserve to be in everyone’s library. And, as if that all wasn’t fanfunkingtastic enough, we also threw in a couple mashup jamz to show you we care.  Enjoy.

Loosen those belts because this Digest is quite the spread and you’re gonna need some breathing room to get through all 18 of these morsels. Bear with me because, save for the last two, this is all great stuff and there are a few “Best ___ of 2010” shoe-ins lurking below. Once again, the jams are broken into “courses” for your convenience. Enjoy!

Look people, its Halloween weekend which means shits going to get a little bit bonkers (at least here in the US). We, Joel & Scott happen to be rather large fans of the ridiculous. So, since we are so thrilled about this special weekend we wanted to set you off in epic fashion.
Here’s a massive cup of RR Vol.30 in your eardrums to start your weekend.
Yeah, that’s right… We have a ridonculous logjam of tunes to throw at you. Looks like our goal of just 12 songs is out the window, as we will have to bump it up to 20 for a while to get rid of some of this mass. You’re welcome.
Lastly, don’t forget to break some dance floor hearts this weekend.
And oh yeah,…. Get Nurdy’

♫ The Dance Party- Sasha Don’t Sleep (Dillon Francis Remix) / Brandon posted another rad mix of this song too, not to mention the original track back in 09. We’ve really taken a liking to this Sasha girl, and we’re pretty sure that this Dillon Francis remix will keep her dancing.
♫ Lady Gaga- Monster (Computer Blue Remix) / Ummm yes. Computer Blue, the duo from OK city have graced all of our eardrums with a BANGER. This one is special.
I feel like we know each other well enough that I can be honest with you, right? Well I gotta say that sometimes I put a remix in one of these roundups that I am not totally in love with but is interesting/unique/whatever. I just want you to know that even though this is the longest roundup ever at 17 tracks this is not one of those cases. All these jams are going off and I am soooo stoked to be delivering them to you! Dive in! The water is hott!

Holy moley. When I first got a taste of Two Door Cinema Club I knew they had the skills for a jam or two but I would have never guessed that these rosy-cheeked Irish kids would be dropping one of the catchiest and most instantly infectious albums of the year so far. Tourist History is a tight ten tracks and wastes no time on ballads or slow jams. Every track is brimming with dazzling guitar work, beautiful harmonies, and a rhythm section that has a the key to dance-headquarters. I’m serious about those guitars though, what makes these guys so great is that they aren’t afraid to shred a tight guitar riff now and then, giving the music an edge that is missing in a lot of over-polished indie/dance/pop. In “Undercover Martyn” I’ve even found myself singing along to that epic ‘wah-wah’ guitar business more than the lyrics. And those brilliant lazer sounds around the 2:00 mark are perfect for a Spaceman Spiff-inspired dance number. Seriously people, if you find any joy in this jam (or the first 2 I posted) then get this album. And get particularly excited for “Eat That Up, It’s Good For You.” I do.

It’s the holiday season and we all know that you are behind on your schoolwork/shopping/lovemaking/etc so let’s skip the niceties and get down to business.
Oh, and I cant be bothered to include those “[Original Post]” links that I am sure nobody actually used so for more on an artist just click on their tag link at the bottom of the post. Cool beans?*
Two Door Cinema Club don’t have a debut album yet but I certainly hope they get one out soon because by the sounds of it these guys are gonna be hot shit in 2010. “Something Good Can Work” (below) was my jam back in March but somehow never made it on TBE. Then the other day I hear “I Can Talk” (above) and woah boy. That’s what I’m talking about. Good to see these Irish lads aren’t stuck on one speed either. Keep it interesting and keep it coming. We’re waiting. The video for “I Can Talk” is over at their MySpace and is pretty fresh.
