Having done a college paper a few semesters ago on the very title of this song, I can say that this tune is very aptly named. Synths wind and bend around you, chords pound at your cranium, and at the root of the psychological idea behind the song, the experience clashes with expectations. In other words; holy crap this is off the chain. “Cognitive Dissonance” is the bonus track off of the recently released Weekend in America album.
