The constant phasing on the synth in “Stay” becomes almost hypnotic and trance-like in combination with the simple guitar hooks, immediately pulling Captain Kidd’s audience into an immersive electronic pop experience.  With its ambitious instrumentation, Captain Kidd’s “Stay” feels like the perfect song for a futuristic utopian house party.
