[LIVE/SEX] I got to see Miguel live in a small room. I was not the only one sweating.

Let’s get into the facts. Miguel = sex. OK, I’ll back up…

If you are alive, you have heard of sex.

If you listen to music, you have heard of Miguel.

If you have heard Miguel’s music, you have had sex (at least vicariously).

And finally, if you follow my Instagram you know I got to listen to Miguel and hear (a lot) about sex earlier this week. Sonos Studio and Pandora teamed up to present an intimate Miguel concert to a few lucky fans and at least one sightline blocking music writer. I am a lucky bastard. Everyone in that room was a lucky bastard. We all got to have sex with Miguel.

These are the faces of people awaiting aural sex with Miguel. Plus, the back of my head is in there somewhere…

When Miguel’s backing band took the stage in all white outfits it was surely a nod to our collective purity about to exit through the back door. And then Miguel took the stage and we were all just on his wild ride. Wide eyed minions staring raw sexuality in the face. Songs from his new album Wildheart were woven in with hits from his breakthrough Kaleidoscope Dream, but every track had us rocking and writhing along.

Think I’m overstating the sexuality of Miguel? Lets ignore the multiple times rubbed his abs into the eyes of the front row and just examine his t-shirt. Miguel is do dedicated to the constructs of sex that he even wore his own twist on the oversized “boyfriend shirt” on stage. As if to say “See how damn comfortable I look in this thing? Imagine yourself in it! Tomorrow morning! Sipping coffee!” And we did. We all did.

When the show was over and the lights turned on and the sex drained from the air there was nothing to do but smile. Sure Miguel makes great music, but its the live show that really lights his star. His ability to take a room full of disparate souls and unite them under a mantra of living free, feeling good, and not being afraid to get a little sweaty along the way.
