[PREMIERE] Pr0files – “Call Yourself A Lover”

This debut track from Los Angeles’ Pr0files is working with a lot of the throwback 80s synth groove elements that I love so much these days. However, everything here seems tightened and polished to near perfection. Listening is like living simultaneously in my bedroom and the middle of a VHS tape about city skylines. The beat is tight and crisp, the lyrics cut deep, and I just can’t stop hitting repeat.

With all this packed into one song, it is no surprise that there are some seasoned vets behind this music. Lauren has worked with hip-hop legends as well as Corin from Purity Ring. Danny is in the severely underrated Baby Monster. Something tells me they may not have as much time for those projects coming up soon.

Love it! Vibe for days. Also, “Listening is like living simultaneously in my bedroom and the middle of a VHS about city skylines.” —-YES!
